As Scientists we’ll be: -
exploring
different rocks found on land and in water to describe their basic
characteristics - categorising things as solid, liquid or gas - looking at how some things dissolve in water but other do not - how we can separate materials in soil and in water by filtering, sieving or evaporating |
As artists we’ll be: -
looking at
how famous artists have painted water and how they show weather changes on
water - making paintings of our own to show water - observing and drawing objects related to water transport and leisure - making small detailed pictures in a range of media based on canal boat decoration |
As Geographers we’ll be studying
water and its effects on landscapes and people: -
We’ll be
exploring some of the major rivers in the world and finding out how they have shaped the landscape.We’ll be looking
at the -
We’ll be
studying erosion and deposition by looking at river features -
We’ll be
asking which processes have shaped our landscape and how people have used the
features -
We’ll map
the rivers of the world -
We’ll find
the different shapes rivers have at the source, middle course and mouth |
